What is the numerosity game practice?
Numerosity is the flagship numerical game in HireVue-style assessments: a target number and an operation appear, along with a set of candidate numbers, and you must tap the two numbers that combine to the target — 27 with "+" means finding the pair that sums to 27. Levels ramp from addition through subtraction to multiplication, with roughly fifteen seconds per level.
The game measures numerical fluency: not textbook math, but how quickly you can scan a set of numbers and spot arithmetic relationships. Candidates fail mostly on time, not difficulty — hesitation over one pair costs the level.
Tips that actually help: anchor on the target's last digit (a sum ending in 7 needs a 3+4, 8+9, 5+2… pair of endings), eliminate obviously too-large candidates first, and for multiplication factorise the target before scanning (48 → 6×8, 4×12). Endings-first scanning is the single biggest speed-up you can train.
