What is the team sales (high or low price) game practice?

Arctic Shores' Team Sales task, as candidates describe it: your team and another team sell the same product for the same company. Each round both teams set a High or Low price at the same time. Both High: 200 each. One Low: the Low team takes 300 and the other gets nothing. Both Low: 50 each. You are asked to earn as much as possible for the company — and at least as much as the other team. Those two goals pull against each other, and that is the point.

How this practice version works. Twelve rounds against a computer team that reacts to what you do. The score is the company's total, because that is what the task asks for; the result also shows your team against theirs, and what you did after they undercut you.

What the real assessment reads. A candidate's real Arctic Shores report places this task on scales like "focused on personal needs vs focused on the needs of others" and "prefers own style vs adjusts to context". There is no right profile — play it the way you would actually work with another team.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Arctic Shores team sales game?

Your team and another team sell for the same company. Each round both choose a High or Low price at once: both High pays 200 each, one Low pays that team 300 and the other nothing, both Low pays 50 each. You aim to earn the most for the company and at least as much as the other team.

Is there a right strategy?

Not in the real assessment: it reads traits such as how much you weigh the other team's outcome and how you adjust to what they do. Pricing High together earns the company the most, but there is no profile that "wins" the assessment.

Are these the real numbers?

The payoffs follow a candidate's account and two prep providers, which agree. The number of rounds and how the other team behaves are our own; Arctic Shores does not publish them.
