What is the order (next frame) game practice?

Arctic Shores' Order task, as candidates describe it, shows three frames of shapes that change by rules — colour, size, direction and position — and asks you to build the fourth frame yourself with buttons, rather than pick it from a list. It is an abstract reasoning task with one right answer, about a minute a question, and later questions run several shapes with their own rules at once.

How this practice version works. Twelve questions, a minute each, adaptive: a right answer makes the next one harder, a miss makes it easier. Each attribute either stays, alternates between two values, cycles through three colours (and back to the first), turns by the same step, moves by the same step, or jumps back and forth between two squares. Set the colour, size, direction and square for each shape, then check. The score is the sum of the levels you solved, and the result shows which attribute you miss most.

What helps: take one attribute at a time across all three frames — colours first, then size, direction, position — and say the rule to yourself before you touch a button. Most misses are one attribute left as it was in the third frame.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Arctic Shores order game?

Candidates describe three frames of shapes that change by rules — colour, size, direction and position — and a fourth frame you construct with buttons. About a minute a question; later questions have several shapes changing at once.

Do you choose the answer or build it?

Prep providers who have reconstructed the task report that you build it: you set each attribute of the next frame yourself instead of picking from options. This practice version works the same way.

Are these the real Arctic Shores questions?

No. This is an independent practice version of the task type candidates describe; Arctic Shores does not publish its questions, rules or scoring, and GamePrep has no access to them.

How do you get faster at the order game?

Read one attribute at a time across the three frames instead of comparing whole pictures, name each rule, then set them in a fixed order. The result screen shows which attribute you miss most, which is where to focus.
